With 2x GRAMMY Awards and a career spanning over six decades, Bartz’s masterful approach to the alto saxophone has redefined the boundaries of jazz improvisation.

Rising to prominence in the 1960s, Bartz has performed alongside legendary figures like Miles Davis, Max Roach, Charles Mingus, and Art Blakey, as well as recent collaborations with Ali Shaheed Muhammad and Adrian Younge for their acclaimed Jazz Is Dead series.

This year, Bartz unveils his first solo recordings in over a decade—a highly anticipated dual project produced by Grammy-winning producer Om’Mas Keith (Frank Ocean, John Legend).
